Maca Research, S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) and Maca Research LLC (United States), together “Maca Research”, are responsible for the processing of your personal data, with an address in Mexico City, Mexico.

02Data we handle

• If you write to us: your name, your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
• If you visit the site: technical and statistical data (pages viewed, country, device type and browser) collected with Vercel Web Analytics. This tool does not use cookies and does not allow us to identify you.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data or financial data; please do not send them by email.

03What we use it for

• To reply to and follow up on your message.
• To explore possible projects, partnerships or collaborations with you.
• To understand, through aggregate statistics, how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To comply with legal obligations.

These are the purposes required for our relationship with you. We do not use your data for advertising or any secondary purpose, and we do not sell it.

04Legal basis

We process your data with your consent, which you give when you write to us; on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you and improving the site; and to comply with legal obligations. We do so under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and, for people in the European Union, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

05Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us operate and process data on our behalf: Vercel Inc. (site hosting and statistics) and Google LLC (email). These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, with appropriate safeguards.

Data may also be shared between Maca Research, S.A. de C.V. and Maca Research LLC to handle your request. Beyond this, we do not transfer your data to third parties without your consent, except where the law allows or requires it.

06How long we keep it

For as long as needed to handle your request and any relationship arising from it, and afterwards for the periods required by applicable law. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

07Your rights

You can access, rectify or delete your data, or object to its processing, as well as withdraw your consent or limit its use. If you are in the European Union, you can also request data portability and restriction of processing.

To exercise these rights, write to hola@macaresearch.io and include:

• your name and a way to reply to you;
• a document proving your identity or, where applicable, that of your representative;
• a clear description of your request; and
• any information that helps us locate your data.

We will reply within the time limits set by applicable law.

If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you can contact the competent personal data protection authority in Mexico or, if you are in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

08Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use cookies. If you choose light or dark mode, your browser stores that preference; it is not sent to us or to third parties, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

We may update this notice. Any change will be published on this page with its update date.
